Accommodation
Unlike most adventure centres we only take one residential booking on each of our sites at any time. This means you get sole use of all the facilities on each site without the worry of other users.
The main centre is based in the village of Stottesdon, with the main building dating from 1830. The property has been in the owners' family since 1966 and is still the home to the owners and their young family. This is where the centre has its office and is the home to its team of permanent staff.
Part of the building has been converted to provide a self contained Hostel to sleep 50 people. The ground floor comprises of a large entrance area for storing coats and shoes, a dining area, fully equipped kitchens and a comfortable T.V. lounge area.
The centre has a permanent team of kitchen staff to cater for your groups needs.
The dormitory accommodation is divided into two units, the first sleeping 28 people in 3 rooms which have their own toilet and shower facilities. There is an en-suite staff room sleeping three adjoining this unit.
The second accommodation unit is a purpose made log cabin joined to the main building that sleeps 16 people in two rooms, with its own bathroom facilities. This also has an adjoining staff accommodation unit sleeping three with its own facilities.
The main site also offers a large hall for games/meetings, 3 acres of grounds, a drying room, tuck and souvenir shop and an outdoor heated pool. (Summer use only).
Our second site is known as Ginny Hole, and is located on the outskirts of the village just 2 minutes from the main centre. This is the main base for many of the activities and the venue of the riding stables, lake, and purpose made areas for the many activities.
Nestled in the centre of this site on a flat grassy area we offer our ‘tented village’. This comprises of a 40ft x 20ft marquee with permanent flooring, lighting, tables and seating, for use as a dining area and meeting area. Joined onto this is a smaller kitchen marquee fully equipped with catering equipment. (A list of supplied equipment is available on request). Surrounding this we then use large 8 and 10 berth tents set up to suit your group’s requirements. Full toilet and shower facilities are on site.
The Tented Village is only offered on a self catering basis for groups.
24 hour support is provided for residential visitors to the adventure centre.
Normal residential bookings run from a Monday to a Friday or a weekend.
We can also offer half weeks from Monday to Wednesday or Wednesday to Friday.
