Rock Climbing / Abseiling Courses
Rock climbing is truly a unique sport which can take you to some outstandingly beautiful parts of the British Isles. There is nothing more rewarding then reaching ‘the top’ of a hard climb, the feeling of relief, exhilaration and a sense of achievement as you take in your surroundings & marvel at the views. It tests a wide range of skills - concentration, balance, agility, judgment & technique - or if that fails, a bit of brute strength. It’s this combination of physical and mental challenges that make rock climbing so special. Then test your nerve as you lean back over the edge and abseil down the rope. Controlling your own descent is an exhilarating experience. Once you’ve tried it you’ll be hooked!
There are lots of different options for climbing & abseiling at the old vicarage. We have our purpose built outdoor climbing wall with abseil tower which is ideal for beginners to learn the basics of safe climbing and rope work or for the seasoned climber to improve their strength and technique. Whatever standard you climb at you can make it as hard or as easy as you like. Our rock climbing courses are suitable for people of all abilities. We also offer CWA and SPA training and assessment.
