This trail takes us on a fantastic off road route linking the 7 major districts in Nepal, Kathmandu, Nuwakot, Dhading, Gorkha, Tanahu, Lamjung and Kaski. Following your arrival in Kathmandu, we limber up for our journey by taking a short tour of the medieval city of Kathmandu before your trip starts to Nuwakot. The village of Nuwakot, situated at 2790 ft. above sea level, is 75kms North West of Kathmandu and used to be the capital of Nepal 200 years ago (when Kathmandu Valley was not unified into present-day Nepal). Its location affords it stunning views of the surrounding mountains, and is still relatively unit is situated in the Nuwakot district, which has a population of just over 288,000 over 1120 square miles of terrain. Tracing an assortment of broad foot paths, old jeep trails and some technical single tracks we make our way across remote territory that's seldom visited by westerners. Challenging ascents as well as some incredible descents combine to make this off road biking is great Mountain Bikers dream although we will have a support vehicle carrying all of our tents and equipment, due to the off road nature of this track, they will be unable to follow us directly. Generally however, despite having some short stepped sections where a carry will be necessary.
