First Aid Training Courses
We provide a full range of emergency first aid training courses. These can be run at the centre on the Shropshire/Worcestershire border, but can also be brought to your workplace and run on your site on days to suit you. We specialise in tailor-made courses designed to your needs and themed to suit your group. In addition to the dates scheduled below, further courses providing training for first aid can be added by arrangement.
Both Anthony (centre owner) and Bill (centre manager) are fully qualified first aid instructors, and will be running the courses. Anthony has completed an Emergency Medical Technician Training (EMT) course, and in addition to this both Anthony and Bill are Community First responders for Shropshire Ambulance service, providing them with a wealth of experience, including the outdoors, expedition and remote environments.
The Old Vicarage Adventure Centre is an APPROVED FIRST AID TRAINING PROVIDER for Shropshire County Council.

HSE Emergency First Aider in the Workplace (EFAW)
This one day course is designed to give you the basic requirements to deal with the most common first aid incidents and is recognised by the H.S.E. as the minimum requirement for a First Aider in a Low risk work environment. (Valid for 3 years).

HSE Emergency First Aid in the Outdoors
This two day, 16 hour course First Aid in the Outdoors course provides the minimum training for first aid required as a prerequisite for most National Governing Body awards. The syllabus is directly aimed at the outdoor instruction industry but is also suitable to anyone working in the outdoors including; construction workers, landscapers, gardeners, tree surgeons.
Day 1 of the course is classroom based, whereas day 2 is set in the outdoors and concentrates purely on realistic outdoor scenarios.

HSE Approved First Aid at Work
This three day first aid at work training course is required by many employers and gives a thorough grounding in First Aid in the workplace. We specialise in providing these courses for the outdoor industry (Valid for 3 years).

HSE First Aid at Work Re-qualification
Providing you already hold the First Aid at Work qualification and it is within the 3 year expiry period, this two day course is designed to bring you up to date with the current guidelines and recertify you for a further 3 year period.

HSE Paediatric First Aid Training Course
A 12 hour first aid training course run over two consecutive days or as two separate units. This qualification meets the requirements laid down by Pre School Learning Alliance, National Child Minding Association and OFSTED, for anyone working in professional childcare. The training also meets the guidance laid down by the HSE (Health & Safety Executive) for the Appointed Person in the Workplace certificate. Successful attendees will receive a certificate valid for three years.

HSE Emergency 1st Aider in the Workplace (EFAW)
Ideally a 6 hour course. Max. 12 students per Instructor – to include comprehensive training, all training aids, course manual and certification.

HSE Approved First Aid at Work
24 hours of first aid training at work, either as a 4 day course or broken down into modules. Max. 12 students per Instructor - to include comprehensive training, all training aids, course manual and certification.

2 day first aid training course with the emphasis on practical scenarios. Max. 12 students per Instructor - to include comprehensive training, all training aids, course manual and certification.
